Jessica Wilkins

Jessica (Jess) is a dynamic expert in human factors psychology and universal design, serving as Co-Founder of ASIC. With a focus on accessibility innovation, Jess leads projects that assess and improve both physical and digital environments, making them more inclusive for diverse users. Her research in accessibility, particularly in enhancing technology interfaces for individuals with ADHD, underscores her commitment to creating equitable solutions. Jess' work has significantly impacted how organizations approach design, from usability testing to accessibility audits across various sectors.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Jess enjoys pottery, cycling, and spending time outdoors, always finding inspiration in nature and creativity. Her vision is to foster environments where everyone can thrive, shaping the future of inclusive design.

Frances Sterzer

Frances (Franci) is a passionate leader in universal accessibility and human-centred design, bringing extensive expertise in human factors psychology to her role as Co-Founder of ASIC. She spearheads initiatives that create innovative solutions to make environments, technologies, and services more accessible and inclusive. Franci’s commitment to enhancing the interaction between people and systems has its roots in her impactful work improving communication between emergency medical services (EMS) and emergency departments (ED).

When she’s not focused on accessibility innovation, Franci enjoys quality time with her family and her beloved doodles. Her approachable leadership and dedication to inclusivity continue to shape her vision for accessible solutions that benefit everyone.

With backgrounds spanning healthcare systems, technology interfaces, and built environment accessibility, they have successfully led projects across various sectors, driving inclusive innovations that improve user experiences for diverse populations. Their combined expertise allows ASIC to deliver tailored cutting-edge solutions.

Our Education

Franci and Jess both hold Master of Science degrees in Human Factors Psychology from the University of Calgary, where they honed their expertise in user-centered design, accessibility, and usability testing. Their academic backgrounds provide a strong foundation for the innovative solutions they offer at ASIC, blending research-driven insights with practical applications in real-world environments.
